Who: Young people from the San Gabriel Valley who want to create positive change in our country, and our Party (just like you and your friends)

Why: To welcome more people interested in the Pasadena Young Democrats, build club membership, find the next generation of club leadership, meet young candidates for office in Pasadena, and have a fun time!

Why a party now?

Here's the deal: Pasadena Young Democrats has reached a point of transition. Virtually all of our current officers will age out or move away (school-related) in the next 6-18 months. We need a new generation of young leaders to step forward and take the reins of the club. At the same time, PYD is strong:

-- We have a strong relationship with the other clubs that comprise the Pasadena Area United Democratic Headquarters, and offer great opportunities for our members to be involved in the nuts and bolts of political campaigns (PYD members ran two of the 4 Assembly campaigns in the 2006 primary, for example);
